So it's about time I did another feature. : D Since I've been on a major Legend of Zelda kick, I wanted to find all sorts of stocks that would work well for Legend of Zelda pics! : D (Hey that rhymed. Sort of.) First I will show off the pics I myself have used for LoZ artwork, then we'll get into other awesome stuff. Ready? Enjoy!

So these ones I have used. I have shown the artwork and the stock pic both side by side. I actually used two pics for that first one but one of them has disappeared. D: Same with the second one, it's in storage. (It's the same pic LOL) But if you click on the deviation of the second one, the thumb still shows up in the artist comments for some reason.

DD Game Feature and We are expanding! Please Read!Hiya Darlings,
It's time for our feature from the DD Game and we have an announcement about expanding the group that I'd like for you to check out! Before we get to the feature portion of this blog, I'd like to get into the subject of expansion. In lieu of creating a dozen new folders in this group, I've created a second sub-group for this one last night. The basis for the sub-group is to have unrestricted stock that other stock artists can use specifically in the creation of pre-made backgrounds. The group is called :iconstock-for-premades: and if you have stock that you allow others to make pre-made backgrounds from I encourage you to join there as well. (If you like making premades please watch or join the group too!) I'm announcing this here because I would like for our members to have first crack at joining as a Contributor (or member, depending on how many groups you admin.) Also, if you are interested in being a co-founder and helping out with submissions and blogs let me know.

Legitimate Stock Resources and RedistributionThis article is my latest journal, but so many people asked me to submit it as a news article, so this is for them. I may well be preaching to the choir, so to speak.
It has come to my attention that too many stock artists and photo manipulators are unaware of CEA policy regarding what they can and can not do with stock resources, despite the fact that there have been several bulletins made by the CEA team in the past.
You can not under ANY circumstance download stock from Sxc.hu, manipulate it, and upload it as stock here as a pre-made stock background for others to use. This is not only a violation of deviantArt policy, but a violation of Sxc.hu's user policy as well.

Proposed Changes to the Stock & Resources Gallery Sub-Cats
Over the last several months we've been listening to you, and making a list of things you as stock providers submitting to the gallery, and artists searching for stock, would like to see changed or improved.
As you can imagine, this list is pretty big - given that the stock & Resources Gallery is also pretty big!

Daily Deviations UpdateHappy Monday Morning

I started this morning by signing something "Moonbam13" so either this typo means I need more coffee, or this week is going to be BAMTASTIC!

I wanted to post a quick update on changes to Daily Deviations. It is important to note that these changes have not been hard-coded so my team is manually following these new guidelines. This means that errors can and likely will occur until the coding is complete, your patience and understanding is appreciated

The following guideline changes are in effect:

The 3-month rule is now the 6-month rule, meaning that it must be at least 6-months since the last time an artist received a daily deviation. (This was an overwhelmingly popular suggestion from the community and I agree, it's a good one!)

Daily deviation selectors may only select one daily deviation per day maximum. This has been put in place to focus on Quality vs Quantity.

Greetings,

How are you all doing?

It's been some time; but here is what we, Ska and I, have prepared for you. Submissions into Member's submissions. If more submissions will be; we will make separate folders for them; to separate them better.

Here are some conditions that we'd like you to meet thou; just so we will not overspam our fellow members & watchers.

These three rules must apply* on your work before submitting :
+ views limit : 700
+ downloads limit : 300
+ Submission per member per week : 1

* The limits are subject to a change, in case of need.

Meet your fellow members

Our next step is to update the Archive's blogs with Stockers lists; to remove those that deactivated accounts and add you, our members.

Also as I've been out (away from DA) for some time; I will look around for interesting stock-related contests and information. If you know of any; feel free to let us know.

If you would like to become a contributor and help us with this project, feel free to drop us a note. We are looking for people who would help us to update the archive journals with stock artists not yet added and updating existing in terms : if the account is still active or not.
